Pretrial Justice Reform in New Mexico

Tom O’Connor assisted the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) in developing legal and evidence-based pretrial justice programs in New Mexico.  The New Mexico Courts have committed to implementing pretrial reform across the state.  This partnership between Transforming Corrections, NIC, and the Administrative Office of the Courts will guide the statewide implementation.  The project began with two pilot sites in San Juan and Sandoval counties in the 11th and 13th court districts.
